Why this pack works
The Desert Survivors Pack is an adaptation lesson in disguise. Every species in this bundle has at least one striking adaptation for water conservation, heat tolerance, or low-resource survival โ fennec foxes lose heat through oversized ears, kangaroo rats never need to drink water, saguaros store hundreds of gallons in their pleated trunks.
Use for adaptation units, desert biome studies, and any lesson on how form fits function in a harsh environment.
Print the entire pack at once, then hand out 1โ2 pages per student depending on the unit length. Each species in the pack has its own page on this site with a fun fact, the scientific name, and ecosystem and grade-band tags so you can swap individual species in or out as your unit evolves.
