About the rainforest biome
Tropical rainforests cover only about 6% of Earth's surface but house more than half of all known plant and animal species. This collection brings together species from the Amazon, Congo, and Southeast Asian rainforests — predators of the canopy, leaf-litter amphibians, and the towering plants that make the whole ecosystem possible.
Use this set for biome studies, biodiversity lessons, and conservation discussions. The rainforest is also the easiest biome for kids to fall in love with — the colors, the layers, and the sheer density of life make it visually unforgettable.
Use the Rainforest collection as the visual half of a biome unit. Print a sampler of 6–10 species, lay them out on a table, and ask students what they share in common: body shape, color, behavior, diet.
